ZTE Nubia Z9 max, Z9 mini announced with Android 5.0 Lollipop

ZTE today officially announced the ZTE Nubia Z9 max and ZTE Nubia Z9 mini in China. Both the new smartphones run on Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system out of the box with proprietary Nubia UI 2.0 on top.

The ZTE Nubia Z9 max and Nubia Z9 mini have dual-SIM support with 4G LTE network access. Both the smartphones sport 16-megapixel Sony IMX234 Exmor RS sensor on the rear along with an LED flash and f/2.0 aperture featuring 6-piece lens and an 8-megapixel camera Sony IMX179 Exmor R BSI sensor is available on the front.

In the new series, the Nubia Z9 max is the flagship smartphone with a 5.5-inch Continous Grain Silicon (CGS) OGS display that has 1920 x 1080 pixels (full-HD) resolution. The smartphone has 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset along with an octa-core CPU, Adreno 430 GPU and 3GB of LPDDR4 RAM. There is 16GB expandable storage and a non-removable 2,900mAh battery.

The Nubia Z9 mini, on the other hand, has a 5-inch 1080p IPS display and is powered by a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 chipset that has an octa-core CPU, Adreno 405 GPU and 2GB of RAM. The smartphone has 16GB expandable storage and packs a non-removable 2,900mAh battery.

Both the new smartphones have Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, A-GPS and a microUSB port on the connectivity front.

The ZTE Nubia Z9 max will go on sale starting April 16 with a price tag of 2,499 Chinese Yuan (approximately Rs. 25,000). The ZTE Nubia Z9 mini will be available for 1,499 Chinese Yuan (approximately Rs. 15,000) beginning April 2.
