Yahoo acquires live streaming startup Evntlive to bolster its Screen and Music

And It’s time for another acquisition! Yahoo Inc has acquired live concert streaming startup Evntlive. The acquisition officially announced by the startup company and pointed out that it aimed to bolster Yahoo Screen and Yahoo Music products.

Evntlive, co-founded by former Cisco CTO Judy Estrin in early 2012, provide live music streaming online. The live streaming service by the startup also offered live chats and streamed hundreds of performances artists and festivals to fans all over the world. Being a startup company, Evntlive raised a sum of $2.3 million in funding where investment recorded on the account of Vint Cerf, Yogen Dalal, Dave House and others.

With the new acquisition of live concert streaming startup, Yahoo is in plans to enhance the operations of its Screen and Music products. The products are already stream video contents, however, the addition of Evntlive technology would add new features in the streaming avenue.
