Xolo Q500 smartphone with pre-installed X-TransPic translation app launched in India for the price of Rs. 7,999. The smartphone has a 4-inch display and powered by a quad-core processor.

Xolo Q500 features a 4-inch TFT display with 480 x 800 pixels (WVGA) resolution and One-Glass-Solution (OGS) is available on the top. The smartphone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 (MSM8225Q) chipset with a 1.2GHz quad-core CPU, Adreno 203 GPU and 1GB of RAM. There is 4GB internal storage along with microSD card support for expansion up to 32GB. For taking shots, there is a 5-megapixel camera sensor on the rear along with an LED flash and a VGA camera is available on the front.

On the connectivity part, there is Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0, A-GPS and a microUSB port. There is dual-SIM support with WCDMA + GSM dual-standby support. Xolo Q500 runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system and there is pre-installed X-TransPic app which allows to translate text by simply pointing the smartphone’s camera at any poster or sign board.
