Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G coming to India in December with price tag of Rs. 9,999
Alongside launching the Redmi Note, Xiaomi today announced that it will bring the Redmi Note 4G variant to India in December. This new smartphone will be available with a price tag of Rs. 9,999.
Xiaomi Global Vice President Hugo Barra, at the press event in Gurgaon, said that the Redmi Note 4G “made for India” variant will be exclusive available online through Flipkart as well as offline through Airtel. Customers who want to get this new smartphone will require to pre-register their order online.
Barra revealed that the Redmi Note 4G will have FDD and TDD LTE bands at 1800MHz and 2300MHz frequency to support Indian 4G networks. The company would bundle an Airtel 4G plan at the time of launch.
Specification-wise the Redmi Note 4G variant has some prominent changes to deliver high-speed data access. In this regard, the Redmi Note 4G variant is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor which has 1.6GHz quad-core CPU, Adreno 305 GPU and 2GB of RAM and there is single-SIM card slot with 4G LTE network support.
Besides, the 4G variant of the Redmi Note has the same 5.5-inch HD IPS display, 13-megapixel rear camera, 5-megapixel front camera, 8GB expandable storage and a 3,100mAh battery pack which originally featured on the Redmi Note. The Redmi Note 4G variant will run on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system and will have MIUI v5 on the top.
