After weeks of its flash sale, Xiaomi has announced the open sale of the Redmi Note 3 in India. The affordable smartphone will be available without any registrations in the country on April 27.
The official Redmi India Twitter account revealed the open sale of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3. The sale will begin on April 27 starting 2 p.m. Although the smartphone is listed on Amazon India and Mi websites in the country, the open sale is likely to be exclusive to the company’s online marketplace.
Xiaomi had launched the Redmi Note 3 in India in March with an initial price of Rs. 9,999. It comes in two different variants. While one variant has 2GB of RAM and 16GB onboard storage, the another one has 3GB of RAM and 32GB storage. Both are powered by the same Snapdragon 650 chipset with a 1.4GHz quad-core and 1.8GHz dual-core CPUs and Adreno 510 GPU.
The smartphone has a 5.5-inch IPS display with 1920 x 1080 pixels (full-HD) resolution. It sports a 16-megapixel rear camera sensor along with dual-LED flash and a 5-megapixel front camera. Further, it packs a 4,000mAh battery and comes equipped with a fingerprint sensor.
Xiaomi has provided Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system on the Redmi Note 3 with its MIUI skin on top. Besides, the smartphone has dual-SIM support with 4G LTE technology.
The open sale availability of the Redmi Note 3 would make competition tougher for similar offerings like the LeEco Le 1s and Huawei Honor 5X. However, details about its total stock available without registrations are yet to be surfaced.
