Xiaomi has announced the launch of its Redmi 3S+ in India. This new offering is the company’s first “offline exclusive” smartphone and is aimed to enhance its retail presence in the country.
With a price tag of Rs. 9,499, the Xiaomi Redmi 3S+ will go on sale through over 7,500 retailers in the country. The smartphone will be available across key large format retailers such as Poorvika, Sangeetha, Big C and Lot Mobiles via distributors including Redington, Innocomm and Just Buy Live.
The Redmi 3S+ comes as a new variant of the Redmi 3S, which is already available in the Indian market for Rs. 6,499. The smartphone has a 5-inch IPS display with 1280 x 720 pixels (HD) resolution. Under the hood, it has a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 chipset with an octa-core CPU, Adreno 505 GPU and 2GB of RAM. The Redmi handset also has 32GB onboard storage along with a microSD card slot to offer up to 128GB expansion.
Xiaomi has provided Android 6.0 Marshmallow with its MIUI experience. The smartphone has a 13-megapixel rear camera with an LED flash and PDAF (phase detection autofocus) lens and a 5-megapixel front camera sensor.
Besides, the smartphone packs a 4,100mAh battery and comes with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, A-GPS and 4G VoLTE support.
