Xiaomi’s Mi Ecosystem today finally debuted in India with the launch of the Mi Air Purifier 2. The new device comes at a price of Rs. 9,999 and will go on sale in the country starting September 26.
The Xiaomi Mi Air Purifier 2 offers real-time AQI (Air Quality Index) monitoring with aerodynamic air vortex and up to 400 square feet of coverage. The Chinese company highlights that the device is capable of removing PM2.5 particles, dust, indoor plant pollen and pet fur and claims 10 minutes of time frame to circulate purified air in a normal room of 226 square feet area.
Unlike some conventional air purifiers, the Mi offering has a 360-degree cylindrical filter to capture air from every direction. Its triple-layer design, on the other hand, helps to remove dust particles larger than 0.3 microns. The device also has a carbon filter to remove formaldehyde and bad odour.
Xiaomi has provided Wi-Fi connectivity on the Mi Air Purifier 2 that lets you receive real-time updates about air quality right on your smartphone. There is also Mi Home app to enable monitoring and remotely controlling. The app is available across Android and iOS platforms and works with other Mi Ecosystem devices apart from the air purifier.
Mi Band 2 also debuts
Alongside the Mi Air Purifier 2, Xiaomi brought its Mi Band 2 to the Indian market. The Mi Band 2 is the successor to the hot selling Mi Band. It features an OLED display and comes with an IP67-certified build and 20-day battery life.
The Mi Band 2 will be available for purchase in India through Mi.com. The sale will begin from September 27 with a price tag of Rs. 1,999. Moreover, the wristband will hit Amazon India beginning October 2.
