WhatsApp on iOS now lets you choose to save incoming media for specific chats

WhatsApp has updated its iOS app version 2.12.16. The updated WhatsApp for iOS lets you choose to save incoming media for specific chats.

Until now, WhatsApp provided you an option to save media from all your chats. But the new update brings the ability to opt for keeping incoming media for specific chats. This means that you can now separately save media content from your conversations.

You just need to go into contact info or group info and then tap ‘Save Incoming Media’ option to select whether you want to save media content from that contact or group.

Apart from the enhanced option for saving media content, the updated WhatsApp allows you to quickly reply to incoming messages right from notifications. You just need to pull down on the notifications to type your response. This works similar to the default Messages app.

The updated WhatsApp also shows you missed call notifications right inside of your chats. Besides, the new version has the option to let you share PDFs from other apps. This comes as an extension to the previous version that allowed sharing of cloud storage services like Google Drive and iCloud Drive.

You can experience the new features by downloading the updated WhatsApp for iOS through Apple App Store. The app is around 60MB in size and is compatible with the iPhone models running on iOS 6.0 or above.
