The all new Android 4.2 version and describes it as a new flavour of the earlier Jelly Bean. Let’s just start with what’s the new version has to impress?

Android 4.2 Jelly Bean comes with the same user interface shared by the earlier Android 4.1 version but Google developers tweak a lot in the new operating system with some new features as:

Photo Sphere:

Google developers uses the same feature as Street View to capture photos through Android 4.2 device. The feature comes with the capability to shoot spherical panorama shots in full 360 degree, just as Google Street View, users just have to capture a picture from all the directions, up,down, left and right, the camera app automatically adjust the image result and fit all the directions accordingly. Users can also share the panorama shots clicked by the app right to Google Maps as well and panoramas can appear on Google Maps, Google Earth, Google Search, Google+ Local, and even third-party sites using the Google Maps API.

Android 4.2 comes with a new keyboard which also comes with Gesture Typing feature, users can now just need to swipe on the keyboard to type without actually typing on the on-screen keyboard. Android 4.2 also comes with improved dictionaries and the text-to-speech capabilities and voice typing feature also enhances in the new version. Users don’t have to log in or log out to switch between the users, it just a snap to switch. On the downside, this feature is just available only for tablets, means you can’t share your smartphone with anyone!

Google added Android Beam to the latest Android 4.2 operating system. The beam feature helps in sharing data among two Android 4.2 devices with NFC capability. Users just have to tap the devices to share photos, videos, directions, YouTube videos, apps and even contacts web pages. It is the same feature as S Beam, however, the feature is now available in each and every Android 4.2 NFC capable device whereas the S Beam is only available on high-end Galaxy smartphones.

Upgraded Google Search:

Google search is one of the most important component of Android operating system and Google developers tries to improve the search from time to time as well. In the Android 4.2, Google revamped the Search with added support to voice search and the app speaks back with a precise answer.

Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) also comes with few minor tweaks and as the Android 4.1, the latest version also comes with Google Now app which gives latest information such as temperature, nearby places and news right to the device’s screen.

Right now the operating system is only available to Google’s Nexus devices, but we expect all the devices based on Android 4.1 platform out of the box will get an update to Android 4.2 near in the future.
