Videocon VT 71 tablet launched in India for Rs.4,799, comes with Android ICS
Videocon has recently announced a new tablet in their lineup, as VT 71, in India for Rs.4,799. The tablet has a 7-inch WVGA display and comes with Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) operating system. Specs are not much impressive, however, the price of the tablet will definitely increases the share in the Indian tablets market.
On announcing Videocon VT 71, Khalid Zamir, Head Product Planning & Development, Videocon Mobile Phone said;
“The Videocon VT71 is aimed towards the emerging tablet market of the country which is on an unprecedented growth spiral as of today, and will become one of the lead generators of revenue in the telecommunications market, going forward.”
The all new Videocon VT 71 is powered by a 1.2GHz processor with 512MB RAM and 4GB of internal storage, there is a microSD card slot also available for the expansion of storage. The tablet has a VGA camera on the front and there is also 3G support using a USB dongle for performing video conference.
In terms of connectivity, the VT 71 has Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, HDMI port, microUSB port and the company is also giving USB OTG cable and HDMI cable right in the box as well. The VT171 tablet also come with pre-installed several apps such as Nexgtv, Saavn, Facebook, Nimbuzz and Times Of India. Of course, users can also download apps and games according to their taste and preferences through Google Play Store app.
