Twitter releases Android beta tester program to offer new features for testing
Twitter has released Android beta tester program as ‘Twitter Experiment’ program to provide an early access to new features for testing. On participating in Twitter beta tester program, enthusiasts will get a chance to take a look at some unannounced features within the Android app and also there is an option to report bugs for improvement.
As Facebook and Snapchat are already hosting beta testing program for Android devices, Twitter now also join the same avenue to widen its usage through Android devices. The beta tester program is designed to improve the app with testing new features on a lesser amount of enthusiastic users than the final users.
In order to get an early access to new features, Twitter users have to join ‘Twitter for Android Experiment’ group on Google Groups by filling up a username. After joining the group, users will have to download Twitter for Android beta version app from Google Play Developer Console and after appropriate proceeding, the tester version will get downloaded into the Android device. When the app will be installed, users will able to test new features on their Android devices and also there is an option to directly send feedback to the Twitter team for rapid improvement. Users can send feedback by tapping on the Report a Bug feature under the ••• icon to bring up the off-screen menu.
