Popular caller ID app Truecaller has released its app for Android Wear. With releasing its app, Truecaller becomes one of the first 24 developers to release their development for the newly launched Google’s Android Wear platform.

Users who have installed Truecaller app on their Android smartphones can now get caller ID of incoming calls and can detect if the call is a known scammer right on their Android Wear-based smartwatches. This will allow users to just quickly glance at their wrists to know about caller of an incoming call.

On announcing the release of Truecaller on Android Wear, Alan Mamedi, CEO and Co-Founder, Truecaller, said:

“With Truecaller for Android Wear, users will be able to tell right away if the person calling you is a acquaintance, business or scammer, all with a simple glance at your wrist. We’re proud to be one of the first apps to launch on the new line of Android wearables that will help our users improve their lives and the value they get from interacting with their favorite platforms and devices.”

Truecaller integration is now available on Google Play Store which will directly be installed on Android wearables from the paired smartphones.

With over 65 million users across the globe, Truecaller adds 2.4 million new users in India every month. The app offers free as well as paid subscription-based caller information service to all widely used mobile platforms, including Android, iOS, Windows Phone and BlackBerry OS.
