Swatch Touch Zero One fitness watch unveiled with curved touchscreen
A few weeks before the arrival of Apple Watch, Swatch Touch Zero One has been unveiled to give some fitness features. The watch features a curved touchscreen and comes equipped with special functions for volleyball players.
The Swatch Touch Zero One has a list of features making it to be counted among a few smarter wrist watches, but no major innovative feature is there to make it as a smartwatch. There is Bluetooth connectivity to let users connect the watch with their smartphones.
Unlike the other fitness wearables, the Swatch Touch Zero One has three special functions for volleyball players and fans, including step counter, power hits and power claps. The watch tracks the action in a data form and then send that data to a connected smartphone through the free Touch Zero One app.
There is a curved touchscreen on the Swatch Touch Zero One that has built-in backlight and supports finger-tap and side-swap gestures to show six timing functions. Besides, it sports a yellow watch face and comes bundled with a multi-colored band.
Swatch claims that as the watch has Swiss Made technology, it does not require charging every night and provides a large battery life.
The Swatch Touch Zero One fitness watch will be available for purchase with a price tag of $160 sometime later this year.
Apart from the Swatch Touch Zero One, Swatch is in development to bring out its first smartwatch that would give a tough competition to Apple Watch. The smartwatch is expected to be launched in the US region this spring.
