Sony unveils its Xperia S tablet packs with Tegra 3 chipset

IFA begins with Sony’s pre-IFA press conference and as we all were waiting Sony comes up with a lot of goodies in its bag. Sony announced its Xperia S tablet which is made up of Magnesium-Aluminum alloy, measures 8.8mm-11.9mm and weighs 570g. The Sony Xperia S tablet comes with Android 4.0(Ice Cream Sandwich) out of the box.

The tablet features a 9.4-inch display with a resolution of 1280x800pixels. The slim tablet is packed with Tegra 3 chipset with a quad-core 1.3GHz speed processor. Sony announced three variants of the tablet 16,32 and 64GB storage, also there is a microSD card slot too for the memory expansion. The Sony Xperia S has duet cameras one is at front with 1.3MP and 8MP at the rear. In terms of power, the tablet has a 6000mAh battery which is quiet impressive. Sony also states that tablet it compatible with a cover that can be use as a keyboard and a stand, much similar to Microsoft Surface.

Overall the Xperia S tablet packs with a lot of features and we hope that this tablet stands against all the available Android tablets. The company has not disclosed any words on its price and availability till now. We will update more information on this later.
