Sony today announced the launch of the NW-A25 Walkman in India with a price tag of Rs. 13,990. The new Walkman model comes with 16GB internal storage and integrates High-Resolution audio format with 192kHz/24bit to deliver a high-quality sound experience.
The Sony NW-A25 Walkman uses DSEE HX (Digital Sound Enhanced Engine HX) to upscale music files to Hi-Res quality. Also, there is LDAC to enable high-quality music streaming via Bluetooth.
Although the new Walkman model can store up to 3,600 songs in MP3 format, it additionally has an external microSD card slot to let users expand the built-in storage to up to 128GB. The device also has a digital noise cancellation system that comes with preset options such as Full-auto AINC, Bus/Train, Airplane and Office.
Sony has provided a 2.2-inch TFT color display on the new Walkman with QVGA (320×240 pixels) resolution. The device also has a built-in FM Radio with a frequency range between 87.5 and 108.0 MHz. There is a 3.5mm headphone jack and a 22-pin WM-Port and USB 2.0 interface. Also, there are preset modes such as Normal, Repeat, Shuffle and Playback Range.
The NW-A25 Walkman has five-band equaliser with Clear Bass and VPT options. The Japanese company has also provided its proprietary ClearAudio+, Clear Stereo, Dynamic Normaliser and Clear Phase settings. Besides, the Walkman packs a battery that offers music playback of up to 50 hours.
