Skype video messaging now available on Windows, Mac, iOS, Android and BlackBerry

Skype has officially released Skype video messaging service on Windows, Mac, iOS, Android and BlackBerry platform. Interestingly, even being a Microsoft acquisition, the new Skype video messaging service is not yet available for Windows Phone devices.

Skype video messagingThe new Skype video messaging service allows to share video messages for free on the compatible devices. Earlier Skype has introduced the Skype video messaging service in the beta version which allows only 20 free messages. The new service is now supported on Skype for Windows desktop, Skype for Windows 8, Skype for Mac, Skype for iPhone, Skype for iPad, Skype for Android and Skype for BlackBerry.

Users can now perform Skype video messaging by tapping on “video message” button. There is a limitation of recording a video message of three minutes. After recording the message, users can share it with other Skype users by tapping on the envelope icon.

Skype video messaging service for Windows Phone 8 operating system is also expected to be available in the coming days.
