Skype for Windows Phone gets new feature to share photos

Skype for Windows Phone has received an update to version 2.21 which allows users to easily share photos. The updated Skype app is available for Windows Phone 8 and Windows Phone 8.1 devices and can be downloaded from Windows Phone Store.

Skype 2.21 for Windows Phone has got a new feature called photo-sharing. This feature allows users to send photos to one or more contacts using the VoIP client. The feature additionally enables the app to receive photos from contacts who use an iPhone (V5.0 or above) or Windows Phone 8 or Windows Phone 8.1 device. Users can also send photos to contacts who are using other platforms but they may receive a URL link to open the pictures.

Apart from photo-sharing feature, the updated Skype for Windows Phone gives users more of their conversation history in chat view when they scroll up. Also, users can now add contacts with they are chatting to their favourite by tapping the options button in chat view.

Besides, Skype has added text mark-up feature which allows users to change the style of text when they chatting. This means that they can use asterisks to make text *bold* or underscores to make text _italic_.

Microsoft states that it is “building a great app that puts conversations first by working hard on performance improvements” in addition to giving new features.
