Some anticipated Android smartphones already announced at the CES 2015 but Utah, US-based Saygus has unveiled the Saygus V2 as one of the most interesting smartphones of the entire trade show. The smartphone has all high-end specifications and features 256GB expandable storage support.
The Saygus V2 has a bezel-less, 5-inch display with 1920 x 1080 pixels (full-HD) resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection. Under the hood, there is a Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset with a 2.5GHz quad-core CPU and 3GB of RAM. There is 64GB internal storage but the smartphone has dual-microSDXC card slots to offer as high-capacity storage as 256GB.
The smartphone sports a 21-megapixel rear camera with Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS) and dual-LED flash. A 13-megapixel camera sensor is available on the front with OIS support. There is Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.0, A-GPS, NFC, Infrared and a microUSB port on the connectivity front. The company has provided a 3,100mAh battery pack which supports wireless Qi charging. In addition, there is a built-in power saving chip to improve the battery life.
Running on Android 4.4.4 KitKat operating system, the smartphone has biometric fingerprint scanner on a side. There is built-in stereo speakers along with Harman/Kardon sound technology with 3D audio support.
Saygus has not given any details about the price and availability of the V2 smartphone. However, it says that it has been working on the shipment process and the smartphone is expected to be available through all US carriers and most of the carriers across the globe.
