As the smartphones are now having octa-core processors, the external memory also needs to be faster than even. With such an innovation, SanDisk Corp. introduces its new SanDisk Extreme microSDXC card which is claimed to be the world’s fastest 64GB card. SanDisk Extreme is especially designed for latest smartphones, tablets and cameras. The all new microSDXC card is based on UHS-I standard (also known as Class 1) which provides faster read / write speed than any former microSDXC card.
On announcing the new SanDisk Extreme card, Susan Park, director, retail product marketing, SanDisk said;
“The SanDisk Extreme microSDXC card allows users to do more with their devices. Our high-performance and high-capacity microSD cards enable consumers to take advantage of the high-quality HD video and imaging capabilities in the latest 4G smartphones, tablets and action cameras.”
The all new SanDisk Extreme 64GB card is claimed to have up to 80MB/sec read and up to 50MB/sec write speeds. The new card has UHS Speed Class 1 (U1) and Speed Class 10 video recording rating which enables full-HD video recording and playback. The manufacturer even claimed that the card supports 4K (UHD) video recording and playback support. The card will also be available in two lesser storage options as 16GB and 32GB.
SanDisk Extreme is not only the world’s fastest microSDXC card, it is a rugged microSDXC card as well. The company has claimed in a statement that card has waterproof, shockproof and x-rays resistance. SanDisk is also offering to download RescuePro Deluxe data recovery software to recover deleted contents. The card comes with an adapter to provide a support for full size SD/SDHC/SDXC compatible devices. Besides, the card comes with a lifetime warranty support in a number of regions.
