While Samsung is preparing for the giant Galaxy S IV, here a news come for an entry-level smartphone. Samsung is expected to announce the Galaxy Star in the coming days with entry-level specifications. According to a recent report by SamMobile, the Korean manufacturer is ‘quite soon’ going to announce the Galaxy Star GT-S5282 in low-end Android smartphones segment.
The upcoming Galaxy Star is claimed to have a 3-inch display with QVGA resolution, the smartphone is seemingly an Android version of the ‘Star’ feature phone with identical specifications of the Galaxy Y. According to the source, the Galaxy Star will spot a 2-megapixel camera on the rear and 4GB of internal storage along with a microSD card support up to 32GB. The smartphone will come with Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) operating system out of the box, as per the report and in terms of connectivity, there will be Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, A-GPS and a microUSB port for data syncing and charging capabilities.
The Galaxy Star is likely to be available in the month of April (15th week of this year) and Samsung would showcase the smartphone at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2013. On the other side, the official statement on the Galaxy Star is yet to be out.
