This CES is full of display technology,Samsung done pretty good job and showcased flexible OLED display with bendable tablets along with curved phone prototype. The concept of flexible OLED display and bendable devices is running under Samsung’s own brand ‘Youm’ flexible.
The all new devices based on thin OLED display shown in the CES by Samsung but on the sad part all the devices are still in the prototype level, final product would take more time.
Samsung shows off flexible concept devices with flexible display and bending the display does not produce any kind of color distortion. During the press event, Brian Berkeley, SVP, Samsung San Jose Display Lab, shown all the prototype devices along with a curved phone. The curved phone has the flexible OLED display which curves around the right edge of the phone and the curvy space is capable to give notifications even if the phone’s display is covered with a flip cover.
Samsung also showcases a range on devices feature flexible display, some of them are just paper-thin while some folds to become pocketable. Samsung also states that the devices with the flexible OLED display are more durable in daily life as no damage occurred even if the display is forcefully bent.

The plan of making flexible display devices is not new for the Korean giant as the company already shown a video of the concept devices in the year 2011. But of course as the time goes on, technology of flexible display will enhanced and who knows that one day a flexible smartphone come out of our pocket for attending a phone call or a tablet will be carried by rolling it.
