After getting into the development of curved smartphones, two major competitors Samsung and LG are now set to unveil their 105-inch Ultra-HD TVs at Consumer Electronic Show (CES) 2014. Interestingly, both the manufacturers claimed their new TVs as the first 105-inch curved Ultra-HD TV.
Specification-wise both the TVs feature similar 105-inch curved Ultra-HD display with 11 million pixel (5120 x 2160) screen resolution. Both the curved Ultra-HD TVs give 21:9 aspect ratio and there is a curvature from the center.
Samsung 105-inch curved Ultra-HD TV is powered by a ‘Quadmatic Picture Engine’ to provide wide-angle viewing and optimized color production. The curved Ultra-HD TV is claimed to be the world’s most curved, it provides almost two times vivid images when viewed from the side.
On the other side, LG has explained a bit more than its hometown competitor and announced that its 105-inch curved Ultra-HD TV (105UB9) will feature “Thin Film Transistor (TFT) pixel circuit technology to prevent color leakage and to ensure a better viewing experience from virtually any angle.”
Both the 105-inch curved Ultra-HD TVs will be available for display at CES 2014 in Las Vegas from January 7. The details about their pricing and availability are expected to be revealed soon thereafter.
