Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 310 starts receiving Android 4.1.2 update in India

Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (P3110) aka Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 started receiving Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean) update in India. The tablet earlier got Android 4.1 update back in the month of December last year and now the new Android 4.1 2 update brings new features along with performance improvements bundled under the baseband version DDCLK1.

The new Android 4.1.2 update for Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 is now live through Samsung Kies, proprietary app for PCs. The over-the-air (OTA) availability of the update is yet to be available in the region.

The new update packs with new features including Smart Stay, Direct Call and PopUp Video. Surprisingly, some of our readers have also reported that the new update also includes Group Play feature, which was earlier announced on the Galaxy S4. The Group Play feature in the Galaxy Tab 2 will provide a new way to share music, documents and other media files between compatible Samsung devices. renowned Project Butter and Google Now integration is already a part of the Galaxy Tab 2 interface.
