Samsung Galaxy S4 comes up for pre-order in India, shipment expected on May 1
Samsung Galaxy S4 coming to India in the early week of May and we have already exclusively reported the news few days back. And now the flagship smartphone comes up for pre-order in the country with the initial demanding price of just Rs.999. An online Indian retailer, Tradus has started taking the pre-orders for the Galaxy S4 with the expected shipment on May 1st.
The online retailer offering two variants of the Galaxy S4, a 16GB and a 64GB version. The 16GB version listed in two color options as Black Mist and Frost White, however, the 64GB version is only available in Frost White version. The pre-order amount of Rs.999 will be discounted from the total amount at the time of final payment. The retailer has also stated that the 16GB version of the Galaxy S4 is expected to be available in the country with the price tag of Rs.45,000.
On the part of specifications, the website does not show any details, though according to our earlier report, the Galaxy S4 will be available in the country with Exynos 5 Octa chipset and HSPA+ network. Some reports are also suggesting that Samsung would also launch a quad-core version of the Galaxy S4 with Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor in the Indian market, later this year.
As per some retailers in UK, the Galaxy S4 16GB unlocked (contract-free) version will be priced at £529 (Rs.37K approx.) which is closely related to the price we assumed earlier. It clearly seems that Samsung keeping their promise according to JK Shin’s statement and the flagship smartphone will reach a number of countries including India in the early of May.
In case you are not aware of the next-generation flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S4 features a 5-inch full-HD Super AMOLED display, Exynos 5 Octa processor, 2GB of RAM and runs on Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean) operating system. Samsung has added couple of new software tweaks in the smartphone including Air View, Air Gesture, Smart Scroll and Smart Pause.
