Samsung has unveiled the Galaxy Note 8.0 last month in Barcelona and now the Korean giant is all set to launch the Galaxy Note 8.0 in the Indian market as the Galaxy Note 510. Yes, Samsung has changed the name of the device for the Indian market and coined it as the Galaxy Note 510. The Galaxy Note 8.0 aka the Galaxy Note 510 recently announced in India during the annual Samsung Forum at Hyderabad.
The Galaxy Note 8.0 is designed by Samsung purely to compete Apple’s iPad mini, to compete the Cupertino tablet, the Korean giant has used an 8-inch display which is slightly larger than the iPad mini. In addition to the large 8-inch size, Samsung has provided the S Pen integration within the Jelly Bean environment. The presence of S Pen makes the Galaxy Note 8.0 closer to the Galaxy Note II and the Galaxy Note 10.1.
The Galaxy Note 8.0 aka Galaxy Note 510 has voice calling support, even with an 8-inch massive construction, using any GSM SIM card. The 8-inch display has a TFT LCD screen with the resolution of 1280 × 800 pixels. The Galaxy Note 8.0 is powered by a 1.6GHz Cortex-A9 quad-core processor with 2GB of RAM. For photography, Samsung has used a 5-megapixel camera on the rear and a 1.3-megapixel camera on the front for video calling support.
In terms of connectivity, the Galaxy Note 8.0 has all the major connectivity options including, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and a microUSB port. The tablet is packed with a 4600mAh battery and for storage, there is 16GB/32GB storage along with a microSD card support.

Samsung India has not revealed any details on the pricing and availability so far but we are quite sure that soon the Galaxy Note 510 (Note 8.0) will be launched in the country with the price competing the iPad mini.
