Samsung has expanded its mobile device lineup in India with the launch of the Galaxy Note 7. The new Galaxy Note flagship comes with a price tag of Rs. 59,990.
Originally unveiled earlier this month, the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 is the successor to the last year’s Galaxy Note 5. The new smartphone features a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display with 2560 x 1440 pixels (QHD) resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection. Under the hood, there is a 64-bit Exynos 8890 Octa chipset with four cores of 2.3GHz Mongoose and four cores of 1.6GHz Cortex-A53 CPUs as well as Mali-T880 MP12 GPU and 4GB of RAM.
The Galaxy Note 7 comes with a 12-megapixel dual-pixel rear camera sensor with f/1.7 aperture and an LED flash. The smartphone also has a 5-megapixel front camera sensor. Moreover, there is an iris scanner that offers an advanced biometric authentication and protects your personal data using a separate secure folder.
Samsung has provided Android 6.0 Marshmallow on the Galaxy Note 7 that comes with TouchWiz UX. The custom ROM has Samsung Pass that secures apps and services using the built-in iris scanner and fingerprint sensor. The smartphone is also upgradable to the upcoming Android 7.0 Nougat.
The smartphone has Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, A-GPS, Infrared and a USB Type-C. There is a 3,500mAh battery with fast charging and wireless charging technologies. Further, the new Galaxy Note model has an enhanced S Pen with Air Command Translate function to translate on-screen text with ease.

Alongside the Galaxy Note 7, Samsung has brought its Gear Fit 2 and Gear IconX wearables to the Indian market. While the Gear Fit 2 comes with Tizen OS and a 1.5-inch Super AMOLED display to offer on-the-go fitness alerts, the Gear IconX works as a wireless music playback device. The Korean giant also launched its upgraded Gear VR with a Super AMOLED display.
The Samsung Gear Fit 2 comes to India with a price tag of Rs. 13,990, whereas the Gear IconX is priced at Rs. 13,490 and the upgraded Gear VR is available for Rs. 7,290.
