Samsung has finally revealed the official release date of its Galaxy Note 4 phablet, which is scheduled for September 3. Apart from the next-generation Galaxy Note, the Gear S is also likely to be announced on the same date, which would be the company’s first standalone smartwatch to support voice calls.

The Korean giant has teased about its Unpacked 2014 Episode 2 event through its Samsung Tomorrow blog. Unlike the earlier release events of the previous Galaxy Note series, the forthcoming event will be simultaneously held at three venues located in Berlin, Beijing and New York.

The teaser render posted by Samsung through its blog suggests the presence of an improved S Pen, S Cloud integration and a tweaked interface to give an all-new experience to the end-users from the currently available Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy Note 3 Neo devices.

Some initial reports have already came up enough details about the upcoming announcements. If we believe those reports, the Galaxy Note 4 is expected to be available in two variants, where its one variant would have bendable display. Also the display is rumoured to have 2K (QHD) resolution support and the device will be powered by a 64-bit processor with four cores to give enough power for running the latest Android 4.4 KitKat operating system.

On the part of the Gear S, the smartwatch is in buzzes to support voice calls using a SIM card. This would enable the smartwatch to be as a standalone device contrary to the earlier launched Gear and Galaxy Gear series smartwatches.

The Galaxy Note 4 and Gear S will be showcased at the IFA 2014 in Berlin alongside other new devices by Samsung. Moreover, these devices will start hitting stores across the worldwide markets as soon as in the third quarter this year.
