Samsung Galaxy Grand with 5-inch display launched in India for Rs.21,500

Samsung Galaxy Grand, a 5-inch smartphone today launched in India with having a mid-range price-point of Rs.21,500. The all new Galaxy Grand comes with Android Jelly Bean operating system and feature dual-SIM connectivity support. The Galaxy Grand is going to be available in the Indian market by the first week of February.

On launching Samsung Galaxy Grand, Asim Warsi, Vice President, Samsung Mobile says;

The all new Galaxy Grand, as the name suggests, feature a massive 5-inch TFT LCD display with 800 x 480 pixels (WVGA) resolution and the display produces 187ppi pixel density. The Galaxy Grand is powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core processor with 1GB of RAM for multi-tasking capabilities. The smartphone has a 8MP camera on the rear with an LED flash and there is a 2MP camera on the front. The rear camera is also capable of recording videos at full HD (1080p) resolution at 30FPS.

The Galaxy Grand has 8GB of internal storage along with a microSD card slot for expansion up to 64GB. In terms of connectivity, the Galaxy Grand has Bluetooth v4.0, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, GPS, microUSB port, HSDPA at 21 Mbps and HSUPA at 5.76 Mbps. The Galaxy Grand comes with Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean) operating system and Samsung uses the same Nature UX user interface which is already available on the renowned Galaxy Note II and the Galaxy S III. The Galaxy Grand, in terms of features, also has integration of all the same smart features such as S Voice, S Memo, Direct Call, Smart Stay, etc.

Samsung will also give a bundle of free accessories as an introductory offer, with the Galaxy Grand, including Flip Cover and users can also download music and videos from the pre-installed My Services app for which the company is also giving a credit worth Rs.8,000. In concern with the network carriers, Samsung with partnering Vodafone will give 2GB free download on data connectivity along with the purchase of the Galaxy Grand.
