Twitter has updated its Periscope app. The new update takes live video streaming to new levels by allowing you to sketch right in your streams.
On a move to give “a new way to express yourself while broadcasting”, the updated Periscope app has a ‘Sketch’ option. This lets you do some sketching in your live streams that will vanish in a moment. There are also some primary colors and a dropper to make your sketches bright and colorful.
In addition to sketching, the updated Periscope app comes with improved broadcast statistics. You can utilise the improvement and track watch time stats for all your broadcasts. The app provides you a graph that you can use to examine the most favourite streams.
Twitter’s Periscope now also lets you edit your username directly from the app. You just need to select ‘Edit’ from your profile to change your username.
Besides, the updated Periscope comes with a bug fix that was causing issues on the map as well as provides you a clear error message if you can’t connect to your Twitter account.
Although some of the new changes are already available on Android, the notable sketch option is initially exclusive to iOS. You can download the updated Periscope for iOS (version 1.3.8) to experience the new way of expression.
The updated Periscope for iOS is 19.3MB in size and is compatible with iPhone, iPad and iPod touch running on at least iOS 7.1.
