Periscope iOS app brings video stabilisation for broadcasters

Periscope has updated its iOS app to version 1.3.5. The updated Periscope for iOS brings video stabilisation feature for broadcasters.

The video stabilisation is a hardware-powered feature and is currently limited to the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6s models. It helps reduce shaky footage in live streams and enables an improved experience for broadcasters with the new iPhones.

In addition to the stabilisation, the updated Periscope app has a daylight curve. This curve lets you view the worldwide sunrises and sunsets right from the existing map. The app also comes with a local time that comes from the broadcaster’s time zone and features inside the live broadcast.

You can download the updated Periscope for iOS through Apple App Store. The app is 17.7MB in size and is compatible with iPhone, iPad and iPod touch running on iOS 7.1 or later.

The new update comes days after Twitter-owned Periscope released a new version for Android. The Android counterpart brought maps through Google Play Services as well as the option to let you see who has shared a broadcast with you directly from the main list.
