Panasonic introduces Android powered KX-PRX120 cordless phone

Android is a successful platform among tablets and smartphones and now Android is coming soon to the landline phones as well. Panasonic has taken a step ahead and announced Android powered KX-PRX120 cordless phone in UK. The phone runs on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) operating system out of the box and designed with a compact form-factor for household usage.

The all new Panasonic KX-PRX120 digital cordless phone has a 3.5-inch display with HVGA resolution. The display features a capacitive sensor which supports multitouch input. The phone provides an access to favourite applications, social networks and also allows to share a photo album with family and friends. Being a cordless phone, the KX-PRX120 has caller ID support for identification of calls and the phone also has call barring support to bar unwanted calls. The phone also can be work as an answering machine with recording of calls for up to 40 minutes.

In terms of connectivity, there is Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, A-GPS and a microUSB port. The phone supports memory expansion through a microSD card and a front-facing camera sensor is available for making video conferencing and chatting using pre-installed Skype client. For downloading new apps, the phone has preloaded Google Play Store which contains thousands of apps and games. The phone packs with a 1450mAh battery.
