Nokia 114 dual-SIM feature phone officially launched in India for Rs.2,549

Nokia India now officially launches Nokia 114 dual-SIM feature phone in the country for Rs.2,549. As the price stated, the phone comes with basic functionality along with dual-SIM capability. The 114 phone is designed to attract the youth and hyper-social consumers who wants to spend little amount to get a dual-SIM phone with internet support. The 114 also comes with Xpress browser and Nokia states that the browser give up to 85 percent more efficient mobile browsing.

On launching Nokia 114 in the Indian market, V. Ramnath, Director of Sales, Nokia India, said;

“The new Nokia 114 offers a great, affordable browsing experience for hyper-social consumers who want instant Facebook and Twitter access, as well as to stay connected on-the-go. This unique device supports 24/7 connectivity through faster Internet access with the Nokia Xpress Browser, resulting in a superior Internet experience for these price points.”

Nokia 114 earlier up at the company’s Indian website back in the month of December last year but without any pricing and availability details, now the phone is officially launched in the Indian market with an affordable price tag, bundled with some features. Nokia 114 being focused on the youth comes with pre-loaded Facebook and Twitter apps and moreover, users can access the social networking sites right from the homescreen.

Nokia 114 also comes with some pre-loaded personal information management features such as a dictionary, digital clock, audio recorder, calculator and furthermore, users can download apps and games according to their preferences through Nokia Store as well.

The all new 114 being a dual-SIM phone by Nokia, feature the benefits of Nokia’s Easy Swap technology. The technology helps the users to switch between SIM cards rapidly and even without removing the battery or turning off the phone. The Easy Swap technology can also personalise and remember up to five different SIM cards. Of course the SIM card slots are placed on the side of the phone and interestingly both are hot-swappable as well.

Even being an entry-level dual-SIM phone, Nokia 114 feature a VGA camera on the back and also supports expansion of storage using a microSD card with up to 32GB storage. The 114 has a 1.8 inch TFT display with 128 x 160 pixels resolution and the phone is based on Nokia Series 40 platform. For connectivity, Nokia 114 has Bluetooth 2.1, GPRS and EDGE support.

Nokia 114 has 1,020mAh BL-5C battery and the company claims that the battery gives out 10.5 hours talktime and 637 hours standby against decent usage. The 114 is now available at all leading retail store in the Indian market and the phone is also available at some of the online stores.
