Google’s Nexus 7 now officially available for purchase through Google Play Store in India with the featuring price of Rs.15,999. The Nexus 7 earlier launched in the country by Asus with the price of Rs.19,999. With the selling of the Nexus 7, Google has at last started selling devices on the Play Store in India as well.

The Nexus 7 offered by Google in the country through the Play Store is only listed in one variant, as a 16GB Wi-Fi version, however, the tablet is already available in storage versions including 16GB and 32GB in several other regions. The pricing of the Nexus 7 demanded by Google will give a tough competition to the Wi-Fi version Apple iPad mini which costs nearly Rs.20K. As far the shipping is concern, the Nexus 7 will ship in the country by April 5th.
