Motorola Moto G (3rd Gen), Moto G Turbo Edition price dropped in India

Motorola has officially announced the price drop on the Moto G (3rd Gen) and Moto G Turbo Edition in India. The Lenovo-owned company has also brought some exchange offers to persuade Indian buyers.

As a result of the new announcement, the Motorola Moto G (3rd Gen) 8GB version is now available in India with a price tag of Rs. 9,999 and the 16GB version is available for Rs. 10,999, while the Moto G Turbo Edition is available for Rs. 12,499. Both the smartphones with the new prices are exclusively available for purchase through Flipkart.

In addition to the price drop, the Moto G (3rd Gen) is available with an exchange discount of up to Rs. 4,000. The Moto G Turbo Edition can also be bought under exchange, with up to Rs. 5,000 discount.

The new prices emerged aimed the launch of some highly affordable smartphones in the Indian market. Also, these come following the company announced its dual brand strategy to bring Moto and Vibe range of smartphones in the future.

The Moto G (3rd Gen) was launched in India back in July last year with a starting price of Rs. 11,999. This comes as a successor to the Moto G (2nd Gen) and features an IPX7 water- and dust-resistant build. The smartphone has 4G LTE support to deliver high-speed data access and a 5-inch HD IPS display. It has a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 chipset with a 1.4GHz quad-core CPU and up to 2GB of RAM.

In December, Motorola brought the Moto G Turbo Edition to India with a price tag of Rs. 14,499. The smartphone has the same design and almost the same hardware of the Moto G (3rd Gen), but comes bundled with a TurboPower charger and a faster 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor. The smartphone is claimed to deliver you six hours of battery life in 15 minutes of charge.
