Motorola today officially launched the Moto X Force in India with a starting price of Rs. 49,999. The smartphone is touted as the world’s first shatterproof smartphone.
Originally announced in October last year, the Motorola Moto X Force comes in three color variants — Black and Grey with ballistic nylon back and White with a soft-grip surface. It has the company’s proprietary ShieldShell glass panel that has five layers to absorb shock from impact.
The Moto X Force features a 5.4-inch AMOLED display with 2560 x 1440 pixels (QHD) resolution. Under the hood, there is a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset with 2GHz octa-core CPU and Adreno 430 GPU. The smartphone has 3GB of RAM and 32GB and 64GB internal storage options. Also, there is a microSD card slot to offer up to 2TB expandable storage.
Motorola has provided Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system on the Moto X Force, with its proprietary Moto experiences. These include Moto Display and Moto Voice advanced features on top of stock Android interface.
The smartphone sports a 21-megapixel rear camera sensor with dual-LED flash and a 5-megapixel front camera sensor. Further, there is phase detection autofocus (PDAF) technology with the rear camera sensor.
There is a 3,760mAh battery that comes equipped with the company’s TurboPower fast charging technology. The technology enables eight hours of battery life with just 15 minutes of charging through the bundled 25W TurboPower charger.
