Months after using an online-exclusive model, Motorola today went offline and started selling the Moto X Force through 400 retail stores in India. The smartphone was launched in the country earlier this month with a price tag of Rs. 49,999.
Lenovo-owned Motorola has partnered with Croma, Spice Hotspot, Vijay Sales and Poorvika to make the new Moto device available in large format organised retail chains and general trade. Also, the smartphone is available for purchase through Amazon and Snapdeal in addition to its initial availability on Flipkart.
Originally announced in October last year, the Moto X Force is the company’s high-end smartphone with a proprietary Moto ShatterShield shatterproof glass protection. The smartphone has a 5.4-inch QHD AMOLED display that comes with an integrated system of five layers on top, which help absorbing shocks. Under the hood, it has a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset with an octa-core CPU and 3GB of RAM. There is up to 64GB internal storage along with microSD card support to offer up to 2TB of expansion.
The new Moto smartphone has a 21-megapixel rear camera sensor with dual-LED flash and a 5-megapixel front camera sensor. It runs on Android Lollipop operating system with Moto experiences on top. There are preloaded features such as Moto Display and Moto Voice. Besides, the smartphone packs a 3,760mAh battery with TurboPower fast charging technology.
