Micromax Informatics today announced the launch of the Canvas Tab P702 in India with a price tag of Rs. 7,999. The new device is the company’s first 4G tablet that aimed to deliver high-speed data access.
The Micromax Canvas Tab P702 features a 7-inch HD IPS display with 1280 x 720 pixels resolution. There is a MediaTek MT8735 chipset with a 1.3GHz quad-core CPU and 2GB of RAM. Also, the tablet has 16GB internal storage that can be expanded via microSD card of up to 32GB.
Micromax has provided LTE Cat. 4 support on the Canvas Tab P702 to enable 4G connectivity on TDD and FDD frequency bands. In addition, the tablet has Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, A-GPS and a microUSB port.
The tablet runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system with pre-installed Opera Max support. The company has also provided Firstouch OS to enable 10 regional language support.
To enhance audio output, the Canvas Tab P702 has DTS Sound technology with dual-box speakers. It packs a 3,000mAh battery.
