Micromax Canvas Mega E353, Canvas Mega 4G Q417 launched in India

Micromax Informatics today announced the launch of the Canvas Mega E353 and Canvas Mega 4G Q417 in India. Both the new smartphones sport 5.5-inch HD display and come with a starting price of Rs. 7,999.

The Micromax Canvas Mega E353 is the inferior option in the new range with a price tag of Rs. 7,999, while the Canvas Mega 4G Q417 is the superior one with a price tag of Rs. 10,999. Both the smartphones have IPS display panels with 1280 x 720 pixels (HD) resolution. For capturing images, there is a 13-megapixel rear camera sensor along with an LED flash and a 5-megapixel front camera sensor. “At Micromax, we believe that large screen smartphones will surely address some major consumers’ pain points by providing users with a better viewing experience and more productivity on-the-go,” said Vineet Taneja, CEO, Micromax, in a press statement.

“With the launch of the Mega series, we’re reinforcing our commitment to bold and fearless innovation that meets the needs of our consumers.”

Micromax Canvas Mega E353 sports a 5.5-inch HD display

On the distinct part, the Canvas Mega E353 has a 1.3GHz octa-core processor with 1GB of RAM and 8GB internal storage. It packs a 2,820mAh battery.

Gurgaon-based Micromax claimed to have more than 20 percent market share that it expected to be increased by offering large-screen smartphones in the market. The company previous had Canvas Doodle series smartphones to counter phablet offerings by Samsung and some Indian smartphone vendors.
