Mark Zuckerberg explains how accurate was ‘The Social Network’ movie in portraying his life

During his first public Q&A session, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg talked about The Social Network movie and explained how accurate it was in portraying his life.

Zuckerberg, when asked about his views on accuracy of The Social Network movie, laughed a bit and said that the movie was not exactly portraying his real life and instead have some scripted stuff to entertain the viewers.

“I kinda blocked that one out. It was a very interesting experience that was supposedly about my life,” said Zuckerberg. “The reality is that, writing a code and building a product and building a company actually is not a glamourous enough thing to make a movie about.”

Zuckerberg said that the moviemakers probably used stuff to make the movie interesting enough but they left behind the reality.

“Because if they were really making a movie it would have been of me sitting in front of a computer coding for two hours straight which probably would have just not been that good in a movie,” he said.

Even though Zuckerberg admitted that the moviemakers tried to get some details in the movie by showing the exact design of his office and the way he actually dresses, the exact plot of the movie was not in line of his life in reality.

Zuckerberg said that the movie, instead of just entertaining the viewers, could show details about why he made Facebook to connect people all across the world and how he did that.

“They just kind of made up a bunch of stuff that I found hurtful,” he added.

Apart from giving his views about the accuracy of The Social Network, Zuckerberg answered questions about why users forced to install Facebook Messenger, when Facebook fan page reach will make a comeback and why he quite often wear a grey t-shirt among others.

This was the first Q&A session that held by Zuckerberg on Facebook and was live streamed on Q&AMark page.
