LG announces X cam, X screen and Stylus 2 mid-range smartphones

LG has expanded its existing mid-range smartphone portfolio by announcing the X cam and X screen as the new X series offerings and an all-new Stylus 2. All the three new smartphones are set to be showcased at the forthcoming Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona.

The LG X cam and X screen are the two new smartphones from the latest X series, which is aimed “to offer customers a unique experience by offering one exceptional feature”. While the X cam has dual camera sensors on the rear and comes with a 3D Bending Glass featuring front panel, the X screen has a 1.76-inch “always-on” second screen to ease your multi-tasking experience.

LG has provided a profile of 5.2mm on the X cam to make it comfortable for capturing images. It has a 13-megapixel primary camera sensor and up to 8-megapixel secondary camera sensor. Also, there is a 5.2-inch FHD In-cell display and a 1.14GHz octa-core processor along with 2GB of RAM and 16GB internal storage.

The LG X screen has a 4.93-inch HD In-cell display as well as the second screen to bring the same multi-tasking experience that previously debuted on the V10. The presence of the secondary screen enables users to view time, date, battery status and some notifications without turning on the smartphone.

The smartphone has a 1.2GHz quad-core processor along with 2GB of RAM and 16GB internal storage. It comes with a crystal-clear glass fiber build to attract buyers.

Apart from the new X series, LG has the Stylus 2 as the successor to its G4 Stylus for the MWC 2016. This new smartphone comes with a stylus pen that has a nano-coated tip. It comes preloaded with a proprietary feature called Pen Pop that brings PoP Memo and Pop Scanner when the stylus is removed from its bay.

The LG Stylus 2 additionally has a Pen Keeper feature that prevents the stylus from being misplaced by showing a popup message. The message automatically emerges when the phone is in motion with an empty stylus bay.

For an enhanced typing experience, the Stylus 2 has Calligraphy Pen font. The smartphone has a 5.7-inch HD In-cell display and a 1.2GHz quad-core processor along with 1.5GB of RAM and 16GB expandable storage.
