LG is celebrating 10 million sales record for L-Series Android based smartphones. It is of course a time for celebration for the company and of course on the other hand, rivals have to make tight strategy to be in the same market.
On celebrating the success of 10 million sales, Dr. Jong-seok Park, President and CEO of LG Mobile Communications Company says;
“This milestone demonstrates the importance of delivering smartphones with stylish design, comparative size of display and enhanced UX features. Whereas other manufacturers are putting all their eggs into a one-size-fits-all phone, our strategy is to develop mobile products for all types of customers according to their individual needs and lifestyles.”
LG reached the success because of the versatile Android smartphones available in the L-Series and the company also credit the same by pointing on the rivals strategy as ‘putting all their eggs into a one-size-fits-all phone’. Well, to whom the line is pointed out is not clear as there are many players with versatile range of smartphones in the market.
Starting from the smallest in the series with 3.2-inch display, the Optimus L3 captures a large share in the budget-segment and on the other hand, the Optimus L9 with largest display in the series of 4.7-inch captures some amount of share in the large display-sized smartphones market. Beside the smallest and the largest in the series, two more smartphones occur a place in the lineup, the Optimus L7 with 4.3-inch display and the Optimus L5 with 4-inch display.
The L-Series unveiled during Mobile World Congress held in February this year and till now the whole range of L-Series smartphones covers over 50 markets globally.
