LG Optimus G Pro officially launched in India for Rs.42,500

As we reported yesterday, LG officially launched the Optimus G Pro today at a press event in New Delhi. LG Optimus G Pro will be available in the Indian market with the price tag of Rs.42,500. The Optimus G Pro is the new flagship smartphone of LG after the Optimus G.

LG Optimus G Pro has a 5.5-inch full-HD (1080p) IPS display which has 400ppi pixel density. The smartphone comes with Android 4.1 (Jelly Bean) operating system out of the box and there is Optimus 3.0 UI on the top. The Optimus G Pro is powered by a 1.7GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor, along with there is Adreno 320 GPU and 2GB of RAM. On the part of storage, there is 16GB internal storage which can be expanded up to 64GB using a microSD card.

The Optimus G Pro has a 13-megapixel camera on the rear along with an LED flash. A 2.1-megapixel camera is available on the front for VoIP and video calling support. The smartphone has Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, A-GPS and a microUSB port on the part of connectivity. To give a tough competition to Samsung Galaxy S4 and HTC One, the Optimus G Pro has several tweaks including Dual Recording and Virtual Reality (VR) Panorama, Smart Video and more.

The Optimus G Pro packs with a 3140mAh battery and there is 9.4mm thickness. The smartphone weighs 170 grams and comes in two color options as Black and White.
