LG Optimus G Pro officially announced with 5.5-inch full-HD display
After a number of buzzes, LG finally takes the step to announce the upgraded version of the Optimus G, named as the Optimus G Pro. The Optimus G Pro shares the same name of the smartphone recently announced for the Japanese market but specs-wise it is a complete new package with a larger 5.5-inch full-HD (1080p) display.
The all new Optimus G Pro curved glass construction on the front and rear is little identical to the Nexus 4 with glittery back with ‘Digital Cube Pattern’ effect. The company also claimed that the rear sights 2.5D effect and the smartphone feature thin bezel to be an easy to hold device even with a larger 5.5-inch display.
Though the detailed specifications are yet to be announced by the company but the press statement that the Optimus G Pro is powered by a quad-core processor, presumably Qualcomm’s Snapdragon S4 Pro SoC. As per some buzzes, there will be a 2GB of RAM and for photography, LG has used a 13-megapixel camera on the rear along with an LED flash. A 2-megapixel camera is also rumoured to be available on the front for video calling. But we have to wait more for the detailed information by the official sources.
LG Optimus G Pro is scheduled to be released at the end of February, we assume that the smartphone will appeared at MWC 2013 as per the company’s teasers. Besides, the Optimus G Pro, the Optimus L II Series smartphones will also make appearance at the company’s booth in the MWC 2013. Stay tuned for more updates.
