LG Optimus G is the Android flagship smartphone of the company and even the smartphone is yet to be available in several markets, it gains over 1 million sales record since its official launch in the month of September, last year. According to a recent report by Yonhap News Agency, LG sold more than 1 million units of the Optimus G in the market globally. The Optimus G gains such sales record in the period of about four months, of course it is much low as compared with the other competitors, Apple and Samsung but for LG it is a huge achievement.
On the down part, the Optimus G is not yet available in several large-scale markets as India, China and in some parts of Europe. Although, according to the news channel, LG’s spokesman assures that the Optimus G is to be released in China and in several European countries during the first quarter of the present year, but still there is no word on the availability of the smartphone in other remaining countries such as India.
Considering the Indian market, reports are also up in the air which suggests that the Nexus 4 which is also manufactured by LG, is not going to be available in the country. The step is expected to be taken by LG as the specifications of the smartphone is similar to the Optimus G and LG would take such step to gain goodwill without Google’s support in the country. But still there is no official information out neither on the availability of the Nexus 4 nor on the Optimus G.
