LG GX officially announced, features 5.5-inch 1080p display

LG GX smartphone with 5.5-inch 1080p (full-HD) display officially announced in Korea. LG GX, elaborately meaning Great UX, will reach the South Korean market in the coming weeks though the details on its price and global availability are yet to be official.

LG GX has a 5.5-inch IPS display with 1920 x 1080 pixels (full-HD) resolution. The smartphone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 chipset with a quad-core Krait 300 CPU, Adreno 320 GPU and 2GB of RAM. There is 32GB internal storage and a microSD card slot is available to expand the storage up to 64GB.

Similar to the flagship LG G2, the GX has a 13-megapixel camera on the rear along with an LED flash and a 2.1-megapixel camera is available on the front. The smartphone has Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.0, A-GPS, NFC, Infrared and a microUSB port. Besides, there is 3140mAh removable battery.

LG GX runs on Android Jelly Bean operating system though detail on the Android version is not specified by the company. The smartphone has the latest UX on the top of Android operating system with a number of features such as Media Time, Smart Day, Smart Memo, Knock On, Q Remote and more.

LG GX will be available in the market in two color options – Black and White. The company will also start selling a Quick Window case for the GX soon after its launch.
