LG G6 launched in India for Rs. 51,990

Weeks after its debut at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona, the LG G6 has been launched in India. The new smartphone will be available in the country with a price tag of Rs. 51,990.

LG has partnered with Amazon India to exclusively selling the flagship G6 in the country. The new partnership offers a cashback of up to Rs. 10,000 for HDFC and SBI card holders. Notably, the cashback offer is valid only for one day.

The LG G6 features a 5.7-inch FullVision display with QHD+ (2880×1440 pixels) resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood, the smartphone has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 chipset that comes with two cores of 2.35GHz and two cores of 1.6GHz Kyro CPU and Adreno 530. There is also 4GB of RAM and up to 64GB of onboard storage.

LG G6 debuts in India with multiple color options

LG has provided a dual 13-megapixel camera setup on the rear side of the G6 that has one camera sensor with an f/1.8 lens and phase detection AF and one sensor with an f/2.4 lens. The advanced camera setup features a dual-LED flash and accompanies with an optical image stabilisation (OIS). Further, there is a 5-megapixel selfie camera sensor along with an f/2.2 lens and 1080p video recording support.

The smartphone runs on Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box, along with LG UX 6.0 on top. It has Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, A-GPS, NFC and a USB C port. Additionally, there is a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and a microSD card slot to expand the built-in storage by up to 2TB.

Alongside the G6, LG has launched a fitness-centric headphone called the LG Tone Active+ HBS-A100. This new wireless device is available for pre-booking through the LG website and via offline retailers across the Indian market.
