While the world is eagerly waiting for the LG G5, LG today formally announced its Quick Cover case to give us a glimpse of the upcoming flagship. The new case has a touch-enabled mesh flap and a window to show notifications.
The LG G5 Quick Cover case is quite similar to the company’s previous cases. But for an advanced experience, it has the a touch function that debuted on the case for the K10. This will help you receive voice calls and control alarm settings without opening the semitransparent flap cover.
In addition to announcing the features of the Quick Cover case, LG has also revealed the presence of the Always-on Display on the G5. “Users of the case can check the time, date and notifications on the Always-on Display of the yet unseen LG G5 even with the cover closed,” the company said in a statement.
The Quick Cover case also has a unique film that comes with a glossy metallic finish to offer “luxurious look and feel” when attached to the LG G5.
LG says that the Quick Cover for the G5 will be showcased at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona starting February 22. Of course, the Korean giant will also bring its flagship smartphone at the exhibition to detail its features.
The LG G5 will be unveiled on February 21 to take on the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S7. The new LG’s device is to rumoured to come with a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor and Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system. Moreover, it would sport a secondary display and a fingerprint sensor as two of the major hardware tweaks over the G4.
