About two months after being showcased, LG G Flex finally available in India with the price tag of Rs. 69,999. The G Flex is the LG’s first curved smartphone, featuring a 6-inch HD POLED curved display.
LG G Flex, originally unveiled in the global market in October 2013 and announced for the Indian market back in December last year. The G Flex has a 6-inch curved plastic OLED (POLED) display with 720 x 1280 pixels (HD) resolution. LG has provided self-healing back panel coating on the rear side of the G Flex which heals from minor scratches. The smartphone has a 3500mAh flexible battery which is developed by LG Chemicals.
The specifications of LG G Flex are quite similar to the flagship G2. The G Flex smartphone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 chipset with a 2.2GHz quad-core Krait 400 CPU, Adreno 330 GPU and 2GB of RAM. For storing contents, there is 32GB internal storage and 50GB cloud storage. The smartphone has a 13-megapixel camera on the rear along with an LED flash and a 2.1-megapixel camera is available on the front. On the connectivity front, there is Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.0, A-GPS, NFC, Infrared and a microUSB port.
LG G Flex comes with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system and there are some features on the top, similar to G2. LG has not yet announced any further firmware update although it would at least get an update to Android 4.3 in the near future.
