Lenovo today launched the Z2 Plus in India. The new smartphone is the successor of last year’s Z1 and was originally debuted as the Zuk Z2 in May.
At a starting price of Rs. 17,999, the Lenovo Z2 Plus emerged as the cheapest Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 smartphone in the country. The top-end chipset comes with an octa-core CPU and Adreno 530 GPU. The handset also has up to 4GB of DDR4 RAM and 64GB of onboard storage.
The Z2 Plus features a 5-inch IPS display with 1920 x 1080 pixels (full-HD) resolution and sports a fibre glass frame. Similar to most of the latest Android offerings, the smartphone has a U-Touch home button with a fingerprint sensor and physical touch support. The fingerprint sensor can be programmd with seven different gestures and shortcuts.
Lenovo has provided Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system with a proprietary interface on the top. Also, there is U Health integration to let you track basics like steps taken, distance covered and calories burnt.
The smartphone has a 13-megapixel rear camera sensor with PDAF lens and an 8-megapixel front camera sensor. It comes with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, A-GPS and a USB Type-C connectivity options and packs a 3,500mAh battery.

With black and white color options, the Lenovo Z2 Plus will be available on Amazon India starting September 25. While the 3GB RAM variant of the smartphone will go on sale for Rs. 17,999, its 4GB RAM model will come with a price tag of Rs. 19,999.
In addition to the Z2 Plus, Lenovo is set to sell the Chrono case and Stealth case through the online marketplace for Rs. 1,299 and Rs, 699, respectively.
