Lenovo unveils Android based Tablets at IFA

This IFA 2012 is full of Android fever, we have already covers many devices with Android and now Hong Kong based Lenovo comes up with three Android 4.0(ICS) based tablets. Lenovo expands its Ideatab product line by introducing its Ideatab S2110A, A2107A, and A2109A. Liu Jun, senior vice president, and president, Mobile Internet and Digital Home business said;

“The newest line of Ideatab products provides an option for everyone who wants to keep all of their favorite books, songs and movies at their fingertips, no matter where they go, Whether consumers crave a pocket tablet with 3G connectivity or seek a premium entertainment tablet for games and graphics, Lenovo has it, and at every price point.”

Now lets look at the first one, Ideatab S2110A, it is a premium segment tablet an optional detachable keyboard dock, it comes with a 10-inch IPS 10-point multi-touch display that company claims having 178-degree viewing angle. The tablet has a micro-HDMI port to view contents on an HDTV. When attached to the keyboard dock, the S2110A delivers double battery life for up to 20 hours of activity, as well as an SD card reader and USB ports to connect a thumb drive, external hard drive or mouse. The S2110A is also equipped with a 5Mp, auto-focusing rear-facing camera and an LED flash, in addition to a 1.3Mp front-facing camera, 1GB memory, WiFi connectivity, and a textured back cover that provides a more comfortable grip. The tablet is 8.69mm thin and weighs 580g.

Let’s see the other Ideatab, A2107A and A2109A, as their names suggest they are tablets for the mid-segment buyers. The Ideatab A2107A comes with a 7-inch touch display for on-the-go reading, watching movies and surfing the web. The tablet packs with two speakers, a micro-SD card, Bluetooth v4.0, a built-in FM radio, A-GPS and a 3G SIM slot for 3G connectivity.

The elder, Ideapad A2109A comes with 9-inch, four-point capacitive display with 1280×800 resolution, 1080p output via the tablet’s Micro-HDMI port, and two speakers with SRS TruMedia audio enhancement and weighs at 570g with a sleek metal shell backing. The tablet is powered by quad-core NVIDIA Tegra 3 CPU and a graphics card which would enhanced the overall performance. A2109A also includes 1.3 megapixel front and 3 megapixel rear-facing cameras, dual microphones, GPS, a Micro USB port, and up to 16GB of storage with MicroSD card support up to 32GB.

The Lenovo IdeaTab A2109A and S2110A are now available in some regions with prices starting at $299(Rs.16.5K approx.) and $399(Rs.22K approx.), where the A2107 will be available later this year.
